Batman Volume 1: The Court Of Owls Review

Batman Volume 1: The Court Of Owls

By Scott Snyder, Greg Capello (Illustrator)

Batman Volume 1: The Court Of Owls collect issues #1 – #7 of Batman.

For me, The Court Of Owls really dug into the mind set of Batman / Bruce Wayne and how the effects of his caped-crusade would mentally effect him long term.

The art style was very suiting for the tone of this graphic novel. Dark, gritty and extremely easy to follow the story with the images adding that extra something that most comics miss out on.

The actual storyline was very interesting and surprisingly unpredictable. I was constantly not knowing how the story was going to progress as seemly on every page something happened that changed the story.

I cannot wait to get my hands on the second Volume of Batman, and I would defiantly recommend reading this first Volume.
