All-Star Superman
By Grant Morrison, Frank Quietly (Illustrator)
All-Star Superman collects all 12 issues of this mini-series.
This was such a interesting and enjoyable read.
The art style was very classic comic book style drawing and it suited the tone and feel of the storyline. It complement the storyline and made it easier to understand what was going on, even though at times I was completely lost.
My only issue with All-Star Superman was at times, the issues seemed very disjointed and it was not until the end of this mini-series that they made sense. The overall plot is that Superman had gained too much energy from the sun and his cells were self-destructing from the amount of energy that they had absorbed. This pushes forwards Superman motives in how he approaches situations in ways that he previously may not have.
An enjoyable Superman story which I would recommend and would love to reread.
