Batman: The Dark Knight Volume 1 Knight Terrors Review

Batman: The Dark Knight Volume 1 Knight Terrors

By David Finch, Paul Finch (Illustrator), Richard Friend (Illustrator)

Batman: The Dark Knight Volume 1 collects issues #1 – #9 of Batman: The Dark Knight.

Considering how much I love Batman and always struggle to fault him, I found Knight Terrors a let down.

Lets start with the positives, I enjoyed the artwork. It was very clear and paid attention to the detail without loosing sight of the theme or what was going on.

The storyline was not as flowing as it should have been, with it jumping around too much and taking random points of interest and then forgetting that they happened. The first 3 – 4 issues made sense as a whole, but then too many characters got introduced into a fairly simple storyline that should have been relatively self-contained.

With that all said, I am still interested in how Volume 2 progresses (and counters for the mistakes made in Volume 1).
