Gotham Central Volume 2: Half A Life Review

Gotham Central Volume 2: Half A Life

By Greg Rucka, Michael Lark (Illustrator), Jason Pearson (Illustrator), William Rosado (Illustrator), Cam Smith (Illustrator), Steve Mitchell (Illustrator)

Gotham Central Volume 2 collects issues #16 of Batman Chronicles, issues #747 of Detective Comics and issues #6 – #10 of Gotham Central.

I have always found stuff like this interesting as it shows a different side to worlds that we know of. By showing how Gotham looks to its lower class citizens.

The storyline was hit and miss for me, with it jumping around and leaving past happenings with no resolution.

The art style was too blocky for my liking, although the colours used perfectly matched the tones and helped convey what was meant to get across to the reader.

I think that I might have better understood what was going on in Half A Life if I had read the first volume first.
