The Force Awakens Review

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

By Alan Dean Foster

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the novelization of the movie that has been breaking all of the box office records since it release a week ago.

In my opinion, novelizations are always the hardest thing for an author to write as movies have quirks that even the most talented writer may struggle to put into words.

The novelization of The Force Awakens does a pretty good job of putting screen to words, as well as adding scenes that helped me better understand what was going on in the galaxy.

I was not able to connect to any of the characters like I was in the film, as well as it seemed like Foster assumed that you had seen the movie before reading this novelization.

Even though it did lack the feeling that I felt when i watched The Force Awakens, i still enjoyed reading this novelization.

I would recommend The Force Awakens novelization to anyone one they have watched the movie, as this is how Star Wars is meant to be seen.
