I received a free copy of The Relics Of Gods for my honest opinion.
The Relics Of Gods has so much potential, but unfortunately it just did not deliver. I did not enjoy the writing style. Everything seemed to be over explained, which bugs me.
Characters that at the start seem important, are quickly forgotten about. The story seems to move on too fast, but go nowhere at the same time. Delong, the main character, is useless, as he even admits himself. I was not able to connect to any of the characters, or understand them in anyway.
The only parts of the story that I enjoyed were the puzzle-solving that occurred to collect some of the relics.
I believe that I would have enjoyed the story more if it had been a bit more fast-paced and focused on the action scenes.
