Lost Stars
By Claudia Gray
Well i am lost for words.
Lost Stars blew expectations by more than a galaxy far far away. It probably helped that i watch the final trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens straight after and i just have not been a functioning human since, nor do i plan to be.
Lost Stars take place over almost an 20 year period, from when the Galactic Empire destroyed the Galactic Senate, to approximately a year after the destruction of the second Death Star at the Battle of Endor.
Lost Stars explains the events of the original Star Wars trilogy from the Empire’s point of view, through 2 young children as they grow-up, who do not know of anything apart from the Empire. I found it so interesting to read about the original trilogy from this different point of view.
Even though Lost Stars is promoted as a Young Adult, Romeo and Juliet mix book, it felt nothing like it. The plot was slightly obvious, but I loved basically everything about Lost Stars.
I honestly do not have much to say about Lost Stars, because it was just that good.
Do i even need to say that i would 100/10 recommend Lost Stars?! Even if you have not read any other Star Wars books, or have been put off by Aftermath, this is well worth the read.
5/5

Wow. I can’t wait to get my hands on this. I was scared of reading it because… I didn’t like Claudia Gray’s other book. So I was a bit iffy, but your review made me want to grab this as soon as possible!
Plus… I can’t wait for the Force Awakens!!! Gaaahhh!!

You are not human if you are not excited for The Force Awakens!! Haha glad I convinced you to read it, I am attempting to read all the new canon books before The Force Awakens comes out!!

The horrible Aftermath. I would go near that with a barge pole again! Tarkin, A New Dawn, Heir To The Jedi, Lords Of The Sith to name a few. I have a full list on my Goodreads account if you want to check that out :)
